What is Lineup Magic?
Lineup Magic is a free pool league lineup calculator for APA, TAP, and other skill-cap league team captains. It instantly generates every valid player combination for 8-Ball, 9-Ball, and 10-Ball that stays under your league's skill-level cap, updated in real time on match night. Built by Matt Landry, an APA and TAP league player in upstate New York.
Is Lineup Magic free?
Yes. Lineup Magic is completely free. No subscription, no trial period, no credit card required. You can try it right now without an account using the demo.
Does it work for TAP leagues?
Yes. Lineup Magic supports TAP leagues with a 25-point skill cap. The skill cap and lineup size are adjustable in the settings bar to match APA, TAP, or any other skill-cap format.
What is the APA 23 Rule?
The APA 23 Rule, officially called the Team Skill Level Limit, states that the combined skill levels of the five players a team fields in a single match cannot exceed 23. Lineup Magic automatically filters out any combination that would violate this rule.
What happens if a player is absent?
Mark the player absent and they are immediately removed from all lineup calculations. The calculator updates in real time to show only valid lineups using your available players. See the guides for more match-night tips.
Can I manage multiple teams?
Yes. Each account supports up to five teams. Switch between them from the team selector, each has its own roster, settings, and skill cap. Try the demo to see how it works before creating an account.
